Viking River Cruises
Viking operates more than 20 vessels in some of the world's most magnificent places. The company's
ships are sleek and well-appointed, with fine wood furnishings and spacious public areas. Staterooms have windows, most of which
open to passing vistas, and some have French balconies. Gourmet cuisine, superb service from the staff, and knowledgeable
Program Directors enhance your experience.
At least one port a day is visited on every Viking itinerary. Viking owns docks in many of the cities it visits, and passengers
are able to disembark in the heart of town without waiting in lines or taking tenders to shore. English-speaking local guides
lead tours ashore, but you can also explore on your own.
Accommodations, most meals on and off the ship, some beverages and all shore excursions are included in the price. Viking also
features a Culture Curriculum program with authentic folkloric entertainment, lectures, cultural arts demonstrations and language
lessons provided on board and ashore.
Viking offers river cruises in Europe, Egypt, China, Vietnam and Vietnam.
River cruises are rated according to the quality of the vessel and its accommodations, the number of included amenities and
activities both on and off the ship, the class of hotels used for land portions of itineraries, and the level of service
delivered. Viking river cruises are categorized as deluxe on the industry rating scale (budget, first class and deluxe).
